No one is grateful when turmoil and difficult challenges arrive in life. However, those experiences can present an opportunity to find a new way of looking at things and on the biblical principle of JOY, which has me recognizing the needs around me.

JOYPlease! offers emotional, spiritual, and physical help to all that come our way. This can be done in homes, in a coffee shop, a football field, or wherever help is needed. My experience in being an assistant pastor for 25 years has given me a wealth of knowledge to pass on to those who are hurting or just mainly want to improve their lives.

With much help from God, and those around me, I have been able to step into a position of commencing and helping others by speaking at “celebrations of life” about loved ones, leading and teaching Bible studies, speaking with seniors in adult care and learning centers, women’s events, speaker at small gatherings, as well as using my home as a place of respite for people in need.

Through the deep connections I’ve made at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C., I’ve been engaged and blessed with ministries in African countries – Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Uganda.

As we discover and study together, it leads us to learn and embrace the true meaning of JOY and the belief that, according to Dallas Willard in his book, Life Without Lack, “This world is a perfectly good and safe place to be.”
